Service initializaton failed (0x039e8474) :(!

I downloaded and installed the base game and few expansions but i cant seem to make it work i followed EVERY step in the ultimate guide and updated the game .. i reinstalled everything but nothing worked... I looked throw the forums tried all what i found but still i keep getting the same msg  which is "Enable to start / Service initializaton failed (0x039e8474)" I use macbook pro updated and everything.. I did try everything lol its driving me crazy I wanna play so bad!... and btw i had the game before and it worked perfectly on this mac

Did you install any mod ?

i dont think so.. I downloaded first from games4theworld website base game and few expansions .. it didnt work so i deleted EVERYTHING and downloaded the game from the piratebay website... did everything again.. mounted updated installed etc everything but nope again i get the same error !!

Ok. A few questions because it is a weird problem but we'll find a solution

1. Did you had a Sims 3 installation before those two installation you are talking about ?
2. Did you try to install Custom Content ?
3. When you say you deleted everything : did you delete the folders in Documents ? Did you went into your Cache and Preferences folder too ? or did you use the Uninstaller ?
