Sims 3 skipping? after downloading island paradise [SOLVED]

YourDeadlysin6654 wrote:okay so this has never happend before but i have the base game all the stuff packages and pets seasons generations and island paradise i just downloaded island paradise and i did everything including the ult. fix and for some reason when i fast foward it just starts skipping like its stops then goes then stops then goes and sometimes freezes only way to stop the freezing is if i do the pause button. i dont get it. please help me. and sadly where im at right now its 1:57 am and playing sims is the only thing to get me sleepy as i have bad insomnia.

Plus, try defragmenting your hard-drive too, and then re-boot the computer. After that, re-start the game and see if you notice any differences. Good luck for now ! And keep us posted.

Besides, and if nothing works, why do you need o "fast-forward" in-game ? You may want to try avoiding this, if really nothing works.

Maybe you should turn the animation smoothing on, it helps a bit, but I survive with this issue since the first sim ever came to the face of the earth...

EDIT: After a session of TeamViewer, where I applied the 4GB Patch, added the game properly to Gamebooster, and installed Overwatch and ErrorTrap, the issue seemed to get better.
