Office 2013 instalation, 1402 error.

I receive that error msg at the end of instalation. after searching throught google, I found out 2 solutn but didnt work

1.open registry file and change permission

and I cannot found everyone option

Hello adsuperjenius,

Are you using an Administrator account on your computer ? Also, can you try running the setup as Administrator ? Right-click on the installation .exe and select "Run as Administrator". See if that works - good luck !

yes I do that on admin user and already right lick and do admin mode..id didnt work Sad

I would now actually suggest you go for Office 2007 Enterprise (also available from G4TW). It shouldn't be that much different from Office 2013, too. Or maybe someone else has a better suggestion.

Also, another idea: do you have ALL updates for your Windows installed ? Please check "Windows update" for any available updates: then download + install them.

ok I will go to 2007 office for a temporary,until I found soultion for office 2013 issue..

I always do windows update. I dont know whats wrong.my computer could work with office 2013 before I do reinstalling windows..

I still suspect you did something wrong or missed something, because it's very unlikely that it worked before, but not now anymore, after "just" re-installing Windows. Anyhow, Office 2007 might not look as "fancy", but you should still find it useful. And it's VERY easy to install. Just run the setup, enter the serial number, and let it install. No "activation" is needed. After the install, just run the program.

But maybe someone else has another explanation why Office 2013 doesn't work in your case. Until then, keep us posted !

hmm,wait. I do something to instalation

1.change the instalation destination to d drive, as I dont have much space on c drive

2.remove some of unsused office. I wanna save 1 gb by not installing outlook,onenote,and some other feature

do this is?

I dont have much disk space Sad

this is so unbelieveable.even 2007 office also show 1402 error message Crying or Very sad

If nothing works, try re-installing Windows again.

method 1 cant be used. I post screenshoot earlier, I cant find "everyone" button
method 2 cant too, I didnt use webrood spy sweeper
method 3 I dont know how to on windows 7
method 4 I believe this isnt corrupted,since already tested by games4theworld,used by many ppl,including me few year ago could used it, and I download 2 and receive same error message

Just out of interest: did you actually do a proper Windows installation or just an "upgrade" ? I still think you did somethingdifferent, compared to last time when it worked.

well I didnt do any upgrade . so my computer is somewhat broken. I bring it to asus service center.they do reinstall my windows. windows 7 for windows 7 .thats what happen. So Im not the one who do the reinstalling.

Ok I would do that teamviewer. few years ago team viewr service stopped.happpy to know now its avaiable again

may I know how to different between forum member and team support member? do the color is different?it says the chatserver is down,so should use forum chatbox instead.

The "TeamViewer" service never stopped; what you mean is something totally different. Smile

But yes, try catching me on the chatbox, sometime, for more details on that.

Hi there!

You can differentiate team members from regular members looking at the color of their username. Regular forum members have an orange username, while team members either have a brown (Helpers), green (The Sims Helpers), magenta (Moderators), or red (Administrators) username.

Alternatively, you can click each of the colors of the team members I gave you for a list of every one of them.

Make sure you check really well the username of the person you are talking to. Wink

Yes, what SeoY said."Normal" members have the same username color as you, and team members have different colors (brown, green, pink & red). You can also scroll down to the bottom of the forum's main page and look under "Legend". There, all the most important usergroups are "listed" (Admins, Mods, The Sims Helpers, Helpers).

This was always that way; this is not something new...
