Grand Theft Auto V release for PC. Empty Grand Theft Auto V release for PC.

Post by The_gh0stm4n Sat 21 Jun 2014, 04:31

So...I just learned that an approximate "release date" of GTA V for PC was announced; namely that it will come out in "fall 2014". Before, there were just rumours (though, in hindsight, the idea of GTA V not being released for PC at all was just too crazy to believe).

Improvements over the "current" version (on XBOX 360 and PS3) include some new graphics details. I'm looking forward to that, though, judging by the graphics, you'll need a higher-end system to fully enjoy that game. But still ! Very Happy

Hi there,

Unfortunately I was not as excited as I was when the game was first announced for consoles.
And that's mainly because I was quite mad that Rockstar decided to release this game one year (!) later. (And also considering that Red Dead Redemption was never released for PC, which broke my heart Sad )

That seems to be pretty common now...the focus on consoles. I'm not sure if there are credible statistics about the numbers of PC gamers and console gamers, but I guess that gaming studios partly want to take advantage of a trend, that looks somewhat like this:

With the working hours becoming longer, and working time increasingly "irregular", the average gamer (understandably) may not be able or willing to concern himself/herself too much with things like "Integrated graphics chips vs. graphics cards", "32-bit vs. 64-bit operating systems" and similar questions surrounding PC gaming. And may switch to consoles, due to them being (seemingly ?) "simple" and convenient.

Also, a custom-built and high-end gaming desktop isn't suitable for everybody (even if one has enough knowledge on building them): if you don't have enough time/interest in PC gaming, then a high-end machine just chews up too much money, and in the long run electrical energy too.

That said, while I think that PC gamers often get slightly neglected, this platform is still has its advantages and "clients", like me and many others too. Very Happy

//EDIT

Also, Rockstar Games tend to come up with quality games, like e.g. the "Grand Theft Auto"-franchise or L.A. Noire, and given this, I'm not too angry at them. Compared to EA, Rockstar Games are a blessing.

Well, they moved it to January 27, which means It will be released after the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
I honestly hoped they would release it sooner, but they say the PC version is going to have some additions like better draw distances and support for higher resolutions.
Also, they're going to add new vehicles, weapons, activities, wildlife, damage and weather effects, 100 new songs (radio stations) and denser traffic to make up for the waiting time.

I found 3 videos, they say It's: Grand Theft Auto 5 - Development Build for PC

This videos people can see only if they have the video link (This means this videos will never appear on YouTube search), here's the videos:

1st video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3ScS2GMfyo

2nd video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpDpzkbKg84

3rd video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qds-ZSG2e4A

My conclusions: the 1st video Idk if It's a fake, the 2nd video I think It's a fake because the buttons of the pc doesn't look like in the video and the 3rd video I think It's the best fake ever made about GTA V for PC.

Tell me what do you think about this videos.

Hi there,

There doesn't seem to be a Collector's Edition or anything for PC users. Any information/news on that?
