Found a virus in the TS4 download and can't delete it >_< [SOLVED]
Hello. After a long download, I was startled by my antivirus (F-Secure) warning me that a malware was found in the downloaded file.
The Sims 4\setup5.cab\RldOrigin.dll
The description if Trojan.Generic.12012945, and it says it is impossible to remove.
Can somebody please help me? I'm concerned about my computer.

If you got the game from our site then there shouldn't be any viruses. I would suggest trying a different antivirus to remove the file if you are worried that it is an actual virus. I am sure other members might have some suggestions for you and I apologize I cannot help you further at this time.

Hi there, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
You don't need to worry about any of our downloads having viruses. What your Antivirus is finding is called a "false-positive", a file that's completely safe but is detected as a virus (this usually happens with game cracks).
What you should do is: don't delete anything, and add all of the folders from the game installation folder (in Program Files) to the Exception list of your Antivirus.
If you already deleted something important, you must download our TS4 Ultimate Fix and apply it for the game to be able to run. You can find it here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18086-the-sims-4-ultimate-fix
Please, keep us updated. Good luck!

Yes, what SeoY said before.
Keep in mind that most "modern" anti-virus software will detect cracked game files and delete them. But this doesn't mean these crack files are virusses. I guarantee you that G4TW's game & software release are completely virus-free.
As for your issues, again, please make sure to add the install location of your Sims 4 installation to the "exceptions" or "exclusions" of your anti-virus software. Also make sure to de-activate the anti-virus completely, before and during gameplay.
Good luck and do post back !

Re: Found a virus in the TS4 download and can't delete it >_< [SOLVED]
Thank you all for the tips. I am relieved to hear it's not an actual virus (I have been hacked one, it was the worst!). I'll try figure out how to safely set up F-Secure to exclude the folders (Should I exclude both the download destination and installing destination?).
I had to uninstall and delete the whole thing in order to get my anti-virus to stop warning me, so I'll re-download the torrent and let you all know how it went.

Yes, you can rest assured that a download from Games4theworld will never have any kind of virus, as they are thoroughly tested.
You should add exceptions for the installation destination, normally Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4. Add each folder in there to the exception list.
If the antivirus gives you problems during the download, you should consider disabling it temporarily while you download and install the game, and then you can turn it back on (after adding the exception rules).
We'll leave this topic open for you to post your updates on the matter. Good luck!

You can even do it like me, and add the whole C: drive to the exceptions/exclusions of your anti-virus software. This will especially be useful if you install more pirated games, from now on.
