Error when deleting TS4 [SOLVED]
Hello G4TW Team,
First of all the game works flawless and I'm very grateful for that. When I applied the ultimate fix I forgot to add it on the exception list of my virusscanner.
It deleted the main game file and now I have to reinstall it but I can't delete it. I get the following error:
INI file C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\RldOrigin.ini could not be updated. Check if this exists and the permissions you have for this.
http://prntscr.com/50e2qw
(Dutch error, I tried to translate it).
I'd be very happy if the team could help me out.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Error when deleting TS4 [SOLVED]
Hi there!
Sorry, what was it that you deleted that forced you to reinstall the game?
And to uninstall it you just need to go to Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Game\Bin, and delete the file that's giving you the error (that is, RldOrigin.ini). Deleting it should let you uninstall it without a problem. Remember that it's recommended that you restart your PC before installing the game again.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Re: Error when deleting TS4 [SOLVED]
Well I deleted under the installed program section of control panel. You know where you can uninstall everything from there, and then I selected TS4 and got the error posted above. So it's safe to delete that RLDorigin.ini?

Yes, it's completely safe to delete. That is, if you are planning to uninstall the game.
Just delete it and then it will let you continue with the uninstallation.

Re: Error when deleting TS4 [SOLVED]
Thanks man! It went well. One question, before i changed the language to dutch I started the game and it of course made the TS4 folder in my documents. Now that it is in Dutch, it made a new folder De Sims 4 instead of The Sims 4 so now it has 2 folders. Can I delete the English one? Last but not least can you please make a printscreen of what files need to be in the Game\Bin folder so that I know that i have all files? Because maybe my antivirus has deleted some without letting me to choose what to do with them files.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot!

You're welcome!
Yes, you can delete the English folder now safely. And if your antivirus had deleted any file, you'll get an error at the start. But sure thing, here is what needs to be in the Bin folder:

That's very nice! Thanks to you too, and you're very welcome.
So, is your game up and running now? Or is there anything else we can help you with at the moment?

Re: Error when deleting TS4 [SOLVED]
It's up and running at the moment Point was that I have Panda antivirus now and it deleted two DLL's there were in the Game\Bin folder. I got them out of the quarantaine and I assume that they were placed back because AVG deleted files without letting me know so.. But I assume that when i apply the crack with the 4 folders all the files are surely there when needed, you know that all the files are there to keep it running

That's good to hear!
And yes, should any file get deleted again, applying the Ultimate Fix should put those back. But the files shouldn't be deleted if the folders were added correctly to the exception list of your antivirus.
Problem solved, topic closed. If you ever encounter any other issue or have any questions, be sure to open a new one. Have fun!
