Sims are invisible and they can't be edited. Empty Sims are invisible and they can't be edited.

EDIT: I also want to add that when my mods were installed only the custom content was visible ( the sims still couldn't have been edited ), and the base game items were invisible. ( hope that makes sense! )

The sims are invisible and I can't edit them.



Things I tried doing:

Removing all the mods
Deleting the sims 4 folder in documents
Uninstalling and installing the sims 4 again

Please help!

Are you sure to have added the game folders to your antivirus?

When you're on the desktop in Windows, pres the Windows key + R, and in the window that comes up, type dxdiag and hit enter. Now...navigate to the "Display" tab and look at the top right of the window, under "Chip type" and "Manufacturer". Please either post the information here or make a screenshot of that.

also i'm not sure if this matters but i want to add that the sims were completely fine before but suddenly it stopped working
