Hi Games4theworld,

I understand this is yet another thread for help regarding the initialization error, but I've already looked through the other threads and that didn't seem to solve my problem. This is what I have done so far (in order):

-Downloaded The Sims 4 released by Games4theworld
-Installed the game in the default directory
-Added TS4.exe to windows firewall exception list (I had the Advanced System Care 8 installed on my computer, but already uninstalled it using YourUninstaller PRO downloaded from Games4theworld)
-Disabled Windows Defender
-Downloaded the lastest The Sims 4 Ultimate Fix (done on 1/12/2014)
-Followed the Ulimate Fix instructions, but I couldn't install the vcredist_x64.exe. It said "0x81f40001 - Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64) - 12.0.21005 can only be installed on Windows XP SP1 (x64) and newer platforms." (I'm using a Windows 7 32-bit OS btw)
-Went on to installed vcredist_x86.exe, successfully installed
-Copied and replaced the _Installer, Data, Game and Support folders in the default directory of The Sims 4 with the Ultimate Fix.
-Started the game with TS4.exe, error still appeared.

I'm not sure what to do now to fix this error. Can the mods help me please? Thank you.

Initialization error [135dec40:984c6a38:00000077]. [SOLVED] Empty GOT THE SIMS 4 TO WORK!!

Post by Guest Mon 08 Dec 2014, 05:42

Hi everyone, just an update. Finally got my game to work~

Two days ago I first tried to install The Sims 4 on my laptop to no avail. Tried many methods, but just as I was about to give up, I stumbled upon a solution which explains that the "Initialization error [135dec40:984c6a38:00000077]" occurred because of a corrupted Origin installation. So what I did was:

1. Completely uninstall The Sims 4 AND Origin using Your Uninstaller PRO (downloaded from games4theworld.org)
2. Restarted my laptop
3. Ensured Windows Defender was disabled and The Sims 4 was added to my Windows Firewall (I have no other anti-virus software)
4. Re-installed The Sims 4
5. Re-installed Origin
6. Applied The Sims 4 Ultimate Fix
7. Launch Origin and logged in
8. Click on the Origin icon at the top left corner once logged in and chose 'Go Offline'
9. Click on 'Origin' (also at top left corner), and choose 'Add Game' -> 'UNIFY YOUR COLLECTION' -> Choose TS4.exe
10. Finally you will see a Sims 4 logo at the 'My Games' tab, hover your mouse over it and click 'Play'

That's what I did to get my game to work. Hope I can help some people who have the same problem as me. Cheers~

Hello and sorry for the late reply,

Thank you for the feedback ! As "Origin" isn't necessary though to run the game, there might have been other explanations in your case too. Like anti-virus firewall blockings and such (see this topic here !!!).

Also, with legit games, this thing with the "corrupted Origin installation" is rather rare too.

But it's good to hear that the game seems to be working now, so I'll close the thread. Feel free to open a new one if you have anything else to ask. Have fun !
