Sims 4 Crashes After a Bath or Shower Empty Sims 4 Crashes After a Bath or Shower

Help

Hi. The first time I installed Sims 4 (which I got from you guys, so thank you!), I had no problem whatsoever in gameplay.

However, when I opened it again the next day, it crashes every 15 minutes or so (sometimes even as soon as the saved game loads), so I had to save every now and then, which is inconvenient and irritating. The only good thing about this is that Sims 4 saves much faster than Sims 3, where it takes forever to save and exit.

Anyhow, I try to keep my patience when this happens and I've found that the switch between being (pixelated) nude and being dressed after taking a bath or showering, is what causes the issue for my game. It's when my Sim is in a whirlwind-like animation that the game freezes and closes on me.  Why God.

If you have an answer to my headache, I would be soooo grateful. It's a pain to reload the same game 5 or more times in an hour.

Sorry for the late reply. Do you have any Mods or CC installed?

And have you applied the Ultimate Fix since this error started appearing? If you haven't, please get it here:

Follow all of the instructions in the Guide very carefully and let us know how it goes. Good luck!

It could point to savegame corruption. Can you try using the option SAVE AS, and then choose a different (new) name for that save ? And then exit the game, and re-start Sims 4.

In the main menu, click on the "load game" option at the top right of the screen. You should see a savefile with the addition "AUTO". Do NOT choose that one. Instead choose the otehr save that does NOT have this "AUTO" - and this one should have the name of the save you just chose - when using "save as".
