SIMS BLACK SCREEN Empty SIMS BLACK SCREEN

Black screen when starting up TS3 with High-End Loft Stuff, Island Paradise.
I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and start up Task Manager. It then pops up with "Sims 3 has stopped working".

I have followed the method here.

This is very annoying, as I have reinstalled the Sims about 7 times already.
Any help? I am running Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9879.

Hi there,

Welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
I personally think it's because of the Windows 10 Technical Preview you have installed. The OS has not been officially released yet, and therefore it's still very buggy.
Try running it in Windows 7 SP1 compatibility mode. If that doesn't work, try backing up (!) and removing this folder completely: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\  and then test the game.
