I'm sorry, we probably won't do that, as most people want the expansion packs too. By creating a "Complete Collection", people can choose what they want or don't want to install.

Coincidentally, I was actually debating tis issue with the other Mods & Admins, and we will have to see which "solution" is easier. Originally, I proposed to make something similar as in Sims 3: so separate releases for the Sims 2 base game and all expansions, and another "complete collection" that has everything included. But again, we'll have to see which solution is easier to do. Don't expect a re-releases of TS2 too soon, though.

The "Ultimate Collection" is just a term coined (= invented) by EA, to attract people. It's nothing more than the base game of Sims 2 and all expansions/stuffpacks released for TS2. Whether you want to call it "Complete Collection", "Ultimate Collection", it absolutely doesn't matter, because all these terms refer to the same thing.
Rest assured, we will try and re-release The Sims 2 base game alongside all expansions and stuffpacks.
Yes, you are right. Currently we don't have any Sims 2 games. But we will work on re-releasing them.
