Babyz setup.exe not working

I played Babyz a lot back in the early 00s, so I was really happy to finally find somewhere I could download it again!
However, I appear to be having an installation issue. I downloaded your Babyz.rar file and ran the setup.exe file as per the Installation Guide, waited... but nothing happened. A few times I managed to at least get the setup screen to appear (where you have an install button and a few other options) but that's as far as I can get. Though it appears to load something initially, the installation wizard never starts and the program never installs. No error messages appear either, so I have no idea what the problem is!
I have a fairly new computer that runs Windows 8.1. Could this have anything to do with it? Is there anything I can do? Any help is appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum,
Did you make sure to make an empty folder somewhere, and extract ALL contents of the .RAR download, into that empty folder ? After that, go to the folder and re-start the installation from there.
Also, are youusing the program WinRAR for extracting ?
Next, can you try right-clicking on the setup.exe and selecting "run as Administrator" ?
