We need a sims 4 download for Mac ! Plz & the latest fix

I used to have a pc but then i switched to Mac bc my pc was sooooooo slow & mac runs way better so i would love to play sims 4 with all the updates on my mac Why.

& Also i lovee Games4TheWorld they really are the best with downloads for sims & fixes. But when are they gonna come out with the latest fix with hot tubs etc All Hail Carlos!

Hello and welcome to the forum, Smile

As I pointed out earlier in the Mac section (for example, in this post here), we are currently unable to provide consistent and regular support for The Sims 4 on Mac. I myself as well as most of the team have only very rudimentary Mac knowledge, and @Phoebe is currently not active either (Phoebe used to be our Mac specialist for a very long time).

There is no point in us releasing a "Mac version" of TS4, when there is barely anybody (or nobody) here who is able and willing/interested in coming on the forum regularly and give support to those people who need it.

You also need to know that in our experience, finding good Windows OS Helpers is already very difficult: people who are genuinely interested and capable in helping others with these in-game or technical issues. Finding Mac OS Helpers is even harder, then.

We'll have to see what the future holds, but until then, feel free to consult other sources on the internet for support on this. I'm sorry.

I'll have an update on how you can install TS4 for mac with DLC once i get the time. For now there is an issue with DLC being taken away after several plays, which there isn't anything that can be done without having to reinstall every time.

First of all, sorry for my frequent absence. It also annoys me and believe me I'll try my best.

The thing I'd like to tell about Sims 4 on Mac is, for now, it isn't posible have Sims 4 on Mac, if you don't buy it directly from Origin. But like wataru2 says here, there are some ways, like wine, parallels etc, to do it.

I don't use wine myself, I have been always finding it difficult but I newly installed the newest version of Parallels on my iMac and gonna give a try to Sims 4.

It also annoys me that it has been quite a time since The Sims 4 is out and we couldn't give it to our fellow players. I wish I could understand from Mac hardware, but I am not an engineer and not familiar with The Sims 4 process on Mac. But I will try to install it and try to help the community as far as I could.

I've updated on how to add DLC + Addons for TS4 Under the installation guide for TS4 on Mac. It's been pinned, go check it out.

As far as I know, the only issue concerning the DLC + Addons is that Origin can somehow detect your DLC and taking it away. But it all depends on your luck. I ran up to 5 times without it being taken from me.

Normally that would be a reason for us not to give official support on this game (currently). Relying (even partially) on "luck" is a bit risky, to say the least. But as an unofficial/temporary solution this Wine-thing is certainly OK. Smile

As for the technicalities, I am not sure if I already mentioned it in one of your earlier threads, but as far as I am aware, there is no way the Origin client can "detect" your cracked Sims 4 game - assuming Origin is completely closed as well as all Origin-related background processes.

My guess is that these problems you are encountering are due to the nature of the crack, that was intended for Windows only. And this Wine-thing seemingly can't be compared to a "proper" Windows installation; even though it tries to emulate Windows.

Maybe we can find a workaround to this, but we'll see.

P.S. in case you're wondering, even in Windows OS that RELOADED-crack is very problematic, in that you need to be extremely pedantic when it comes to firewalls and anti-virus systems. If you haven't configured exclusions properly, or you have some third-party firewall, then the cracked Sims 4 simply refuses to start. I have NEVER before seen a cracked game that has such tremendous problems. Yes, you can get it working, and most people manage to do so, but it is very difficult to deal with.

P.P.S. nobody voted in the OP's poll yet...not sure if that is a good or a bad sign. Very Happy

It is indeed rather annoying to depend on luck when it comes to playing. My only suggestion is that you wait a bit longer until there's a workaround for it. But if you're eager to play then I suggest listening to Carlos' suggestion and use a virtual window.

I do believe Origin has a really difficult system to bypass and that includes big games like Dragon Age which has NO CRACK for Mac even if it was released in 2008/9 (i forgot lol)

I was fearing of that, but I guess it's real. We can't play The Sims 4 on Mac. We were complaining not being able to play problem or lag free Sims 3 on our Macs and here we go...

Lately I've tried to install parallels and install the The Sims 4 there, but Parallels cause lots of problems, even for a good computer like mine. So it is not a solution also.

Guess like Carlos has mentioned, either we will buy the original or buy another computer for playing games, especially EA ones.
