Sims 3 Latest Patch

Hello, I tried installing the ultimate fix and following the instructions but for some reason It wouldn't work, I would get the
"There was an error during startup, please see the log for more details." I tried reinstalling it and everything but still nothing .
I was also looking around the threads and they said to update after installing Generations, but whenever I try to install Generations, it says that I need to patch my game or I won't be able to install it.

Edit: Also, after if I try to run the game directly I get the error

Unable to start game

Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)

To which folder did you copy the Generations crack and original files? Please post a screenshot.

I don't have any expansion packs right now but thats where i placed the cracks

Well, seeing as how I don't have Adobe to read the .pdf.. I thought it was just gonna be as simple as the ones there... Oh wells, I'll just install it and try it again.

However, do we need to download the Sims 3 from this website? Or can we use any other torrents

No, the source doesn't really matter. Sometimes it may cause problems, but at this point no, I don't think so.
So, you said you do not have any expansions installed, correct?

Nope, right now I'm just trying Generations and the Base Game.

I stil don't understand how i failed it the first few tries but thanks again!
Also, if I wanted to install another expansion pack, does that require uninstalling and reinstalling sims 3?

Edit: Sadly, it says something about disc authentication, I did mount the generation .iso, but still nothing.
Do we need a crack for that or something?

Edit 2: Haha, silly me, I forgot to put the cracks from the '# cracks' folder, once again thank you so much!
