There are indeed plans for a re-upload, but as of now, they exist largely on paper on pixels only. Because of the technical difficulties Sims 2 has with Windows Vista and later OSes, a lot of pre-release testing would be needed. These technical problems are mostly related to the installation of the game(s), but let's see.

I'm almost sure that in the near future maybe, there will be that re-release.

Yeah but it's just The Sims 2 with a few features ripped from expansions and a forced story mode. There's really no point to it if you have The Sims 2 Ultimate.
