The Sims 1: The Complete Collection Empty The Sims 1: The Complete Collection

Hello guys, I am having trouble getting The Sims 1: The Complete Collection to play for me. I have extracted the files using winrar, watched your youtube video on how to install the game properly, and believe I have placed the crack in the correct place, but when I go to play the game, the screen goes completely black and then my desktop screen pops up like I didn't click anything. What did I do wrong?

You can try these, they are for TS3, but with a little imagination they work the same for any program.
