Ultimate Fix Error

Did you download the temporary fix or the new Ultimate Fix?

If you used the temp fix, The Sims 4 folder will be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts
if this is where your folder is located, move it to C:\Program Files (x86) it should now work if you run the game.

If the folder is already loctated in only Program Files(x86) let me know because if I post a ton of things in one go, it'll probably confused you c:

okay just tell me how to move it? do i just copy-paste it or i should do it in some other way?

Just cut the folder from inside Elecrronic Arts (copying it would be bad, lol) and paste it into Program Files (x86)

If you have any shortcuts to the sims beforehand, they will now not work. Delete them.
Open the moved folder and located TS4.exe - Make any shortcuts of this .exe and they will work c:

It still wont work. But this time it like started opening the game and it just crashed and the same messaged appeared.

I hav the same problem, after I downloaded the fix I did everything it said (move folder and all), and i get that error 

same here. I got the error, moved my folder like it said and like katarinaS98 the game tries to start but then it crashes and gives me the same answer.

ok just got mine to work after I exited origin

anyone got a solution for this?

I follow all the steps carefully, SEVERAL times lol... I got that same error too. I hope there will be a fix soon I lost all my weekend on this

Hi there, @katarinaS98!

I noticed in your screenshot that you have Origin open. Please, remember that Origin needs to be completely closed before starting the game, or this error will appear.

Does the same thing happen if you close Origin?

To fix this error, three things should be checked:

• Origin is closed in the background.
  
• The game folder is not located in Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. If it is, it should be moved (not copied) to Program Files (x86), taking it out of Electronic Arts. Then, open the game double clicking TS4.exe inside Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4\Game\Bin.
  
• Any security software you have in your PC needs to have that location (Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4) in its Exceptions\Exclusions list. If not, then it will delete necessary files for the game to work. This last part is the trickiest one, but here is a general guide on how to do that in some popular antivirus:

And did you also check that the folder was correctly moved, and that your antivirus is correctly configured?

yes, the folder is moved and i checked the antivirus but it still wont work
