Hi there, @pimparific1, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
I fixed the image on your post.
What video card(s) do you have exactly? The most likely scenario is that upgrading to Windows 10 removed the drivers for your video card(s). You'll have to reinstall them to get the game to run.
If you have an integrated Intel card, this tool will help you install and/or update the drivers needed:
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect
If you have an NVIDIA card, then you can find drivers for it here:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Or if you have an AMD Radeon card, then you can find them here:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Try installing the appropriate drivers for your video card and see if the problem persists. Please, let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Re: the sims 4 won't start after upgrade to windows 10
i have the amd radeon HD 6670 and i downloaded the newest drivers for windows 10
in the beginning but it keeps saying my graphics card cannot support the game, even though it worked b4 on windows 7. i also checked online to see if my card can play it and it should play. i tried re-installing the drivers many times and i tried re-installing the sims 4 but it just comes out the same message.

very strange ive just upgraded to windows 10 after reading issues people were having so was a bit doubful in doing but i went away thought about it and upgraded.
I didnt have any problems with anything and all games play minecraft sims3 sims4 so all good here
I didnt need to upgrade any drivers or anything so all i can think is that there must be a conflict with the drivers

Hi again!
So, you mean you installed Windows 7 drivers in your Windows 10 computer? Sorry, but that is not advisable. It will most likely cause some problems in the future, not only for The Sims 4, but for several other things too. You should only install drivers that are meant for your version of the OS. You really should install the Windows 10 version of the drivers again.
Now, are you sure that you only have that Radeon card in your computer? If you have a dual GPU system, you should make sure that you not only have drivers for both the cards, but also that the game is running in the more powerful dedicated video card (and that the dual graphics option is disabled, if it applies).
Let us know if you want to wait until you upgrade your computer to continue troubleshooting the issue. We can continue then, if you still have the problem. Good luck!

Re: the sims 4 won't start after upgrade to windows 10
update: yes finally its working!! here is what i did to fix it first i deleted the sims i had already and downloaded a new one then i followed an installation guide by The Sim Architect so once i did everything he said i tried to play it unfortunately it didn't play at that point i decided to delete all the drivers that was on the AMD radeon HD 6670 and then i used the auto detect program from AMD to download the drivers i needed. once it was installed and restarted i opened the sims 4 and to my surprise it worked! I'm so happy now thank you guys for your assistance i really appreciate it.
