Uninstall Cities Skylines.

Uninstall Cities Skylines. Empty Uninstall Cities Skylines.

I downloaded Cities to see what all the hype was about and it turns out I didn't like it. I'm trying to uninstall it but I can't, there's no uninstall.exe or anything like that in the C: directory or My Documents and the game doesn't show up in the uninstall list on the control panel. Should I just delete the folders from my system?

Yes, simply deleting or moving the install folder "Cities Skylines" should do. However, if you deleted the original .RAR download already, I would suggest you try moving the folder elsewhere (i.e. an external medium) instead of deleting it altogether.

Also, we will be releasing the "After Dark"-expansion of the game, including the latest game update, soon. So you might want to wait and see, but of course, it's up to you what to do with that.

I'll wait until you guys release the EP then and see if I like that.

Since you mentioned the original .RAR (which I already deleted) if I redownload that will the game's installer give me an "uninstall" option? What are the dangers of deleting the folder if I already deleted the .RAR?

If you already deleted the original .RAR, and you now also "uninstall" (or delete) the install folder, then you will have no means of re-installing the game later on. You would need to re-download.

And no, the original .RAR basically contains the install folder of the game. There is no proper uninstall-option. Many modern cracked games are offered in this format, meaning you can put the install folder nearly everywhere, and start the game. 

I am planning to work on a few more games (Cities XL Platinum, Cities XXL) that will be posted in the same format here when they're done. Smile
