Origin Issue. [SOLVED] Empty Origin Issue. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sun 13 Dec 2015, 02:41

I got the base game from here, it was working fine and I was playing it today. I also had get to work on there.

But, when I downloaded Get together, my game gives me an error.

  • I put all the folders from Get to work and extracted them into a blank folder onto my desktop.
  • I then cut all the folders and put them into (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
  • I replaced everything.
  • I restarted my laptop.

Then when I click the Sims 4 it get this error:

"Unable to start:

Origin is currently not running. Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play the Sims 4.

Hi there,

Please re-read the included "# Installation Guide.txt" on how to move the "The Sims 4" folder from its original location to a folder out of the "Electronic Arts" folder.

See also step 4 here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly#146695

That should fix your issue, good luck!

Fixed my problem, although I ran into another one, my shortcuts were now not working. I had to find the TS4.exe and then made it into a shortcut.

Thank you (:

Whenever you change the folder location of anything, you also need to make new shortcuts, because the old shortcuts will link to the old/abandoned location of the program. That said, good to hear it's working fine for you. Feel free to contact us again if you need more support with anything. Have fun with the game ! Very Happy

Problem solved, topic closed.
