Having problems with Origin since get together (yes another one)

Hello!

So I have been using your ultimates fixes for a while and everything was working fine for me and my Gf... But since I installed the Get together expantion, using the TS4.exe brings us the "origin is not running" error...

Also, Do I have to install the latest ultimate fix after the Get together? instructions are quite unclear... on the read-me it says we don't have to but on the ultimate fixes page it says we have to install Get together before fix, impling we have to install the fix... but installing latest ultimate fix doesn't fix the problem.

I have moved my Sims 4 folder out of EA games default folder, I am using G4tw version of the Sims 4. tried reinstalling whole thing with fresh download, 5 hours later, same error... strangely, the x64 bit .exe seems to work fine but I can't switch the language. my antivirus/windows never gave me trouble before... maybe I am missing an important file? (RLDorigin thigny?)

Could RLD and Rld origin files (last updated in 2014-15 and missing from Get together bin folder be the problem? Is there a place I can dowload those without re-dowloading the full thing?

Hello @Vicious Bug and welcome to the forum,

You don't need the Ultimate fix this time, if you installed "Get together". In my opinion, the notice right at the beginning of the TS4 Ultimate fix post is very clear on the issue:

Admin wrote:NOTE: if you are installing the Get Together expansion pack, you DO NOT need this Ultimate Fix, as both this Fix and Get Together will update your game to the same (latest) game version!

Of course, we will see what can be improved on the post, too. Smile

Concerning the actual problem, it indicates that Windows Defender and/or third-party anti-virus systems are messing with your files. If you can start the game with the 64-bit executable, then use that one for the moment (unless you can look into your system and re-configure your anti-virus exclusions).
