Problem with Sim Medieval Graphics
Hi, I'm having an issue with my graphics in Sims Medieval. I installed both the base game and the Pirates and Nobels expansion. The game play is going well, except when I was at the point to Create my Monarch, I noticed the graphics of the sim and stuff didnt look as good as sims graphics usually looked.
The graphics looks as if I have downloaded bad custom content. The sims hair goes through her clothing and when trying to use the slider to shape the eyebrow a certain way, her eyebrows didnt move.
its also a bit grainy

Hello @jiae,
At first, make sure to configure your graphics card settings so that "Vertical Synchronization" is permanently enabled or forced to "On". See this guide for an introduction:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21716-excessive-fps-rendering-in-the-sims-3-updated-on-16-12-2015
Then test your game again after doing so. Good luck !

Just to be sure, could you press the Windows key + R on your keyboard ? Now type dxdiag and hit enter. Navigate to the tab named DISPLAY, and please upload a screenshot of that entire tab.

Re: Problem with Sim Medieval Graphics
Hello again,
Thanks for the screenshot. From the information present there, you seem to be running on an "Intel HD" graphics chip, and they aren't really made for gaming purposes. Hence you are experiencing these graphics issues.
I'll assume you are playing on a laptop ? If so, do you experience similar issues with other (Sims) games ? And do you happen to know whether your laptop has another graphics card, besides this "Intel HD" chip ? If your laptop had two graphics cards, you could try configuring your stronger graphics card to run with The Sims Medieval. This is typically done in the graphics card control panel.

The screenshot isn't clear here, but you need to open your NVIDIA Control Panel and go under "Manage 3D settings". Go to Program settings and select the "TSM.exe" there. Where it says "Preferred graphics processor", select your NVIDIA card. Also scroll down again to double-check whether Vertical Sync is "ON".
After you made these settings, try the game again.

Re: Problem with Sim Medieval Graphics
Ok, so, it was initially set to "Use Global Setting: NVDIA GPU" Then I changed it to "High Performance NVDIA Processor" was that right? (Also I checked and the Vertical Sync is ON.)
Then I tried playing the game again, and I didnt really notice much difference while playing, but I changed the in-game graohics setting nd I saw that the " Sim Detail" was set to "Low" so I changed it to High and reset the game.
It then looked better in CAS from before
But,is it normal for this game to have this line thingy on the neck?

Re: Problem with Sim Medieval Graphics
High-performance NVIDIA processor and "NVIDIA GPU" are the same. So at least that has been cleared now.
Maybe it was indeed caused by the low graphics setting(s) in the options menu. Feel free to play on a bit, and let us know if you notice any other improvements !
