Sims 4 Installation Empty Sims 4 Installation

Post by Guest Mon 21 Mar 2016, 22:53

I also have a question but I really did not want to disturb the forum with a new thread. So here I ask.

I will start playing Sims4, with the base game and expansion packs I downloaded from games4theworld web site. To be honest, I did not give up playing Sims 3 until a few weeks ago so I could not start Sims 4. And I had a very smooth gaming experience with games4theworld Sims 3 releases. It was the second best thing after the legit game copy :p

Now I am just roaming and searching around for Sims 4 and I can see that game has a lot of stuff packs released. But I can not find those stuff packs in games4theworld downloads section. I am just confused because there are explanations about packs in this forum but I don't know if they are either about expansions or those stuff packs. Not seeing any of the 6 stuff packs, I just wondered if it was possible to use any stuff pack downloaded from the other (avoiding names here lol) torrent based game 'crackers', you know who, while I use the base game and expansions by games4theworld. How would the cracks act in such attempt? Honestly, I don't mind the virus threats, I can handle viruses but games4theworld worked perfect for sims 3 for me and all else failed at some point. I simply installed all expansions, except supernatural (I just did not like that) and game worked like a charm even with gigabytes of CC and dozens of custom mods. So I would rather wait for games4theworld releases, if the mentioned packs, at the declarations in this forum which you stated that will be coming but in future and whenever any pirater who has the legit game cracks it, are the stuff packs that I am asking for.

Also I just wonder, is there any way to find a pirated version of spa days or outdoor retreat? Don't get me wrong, I would like to pay for this game as I like it a lot and have been playing for long years since Sims 1 but, the developers in this case are just so greedy that it costs a fortune if you want the expansions and stuff packs. And I simply can't afford it Very Happy

//EDIT

So I read the explanation and instructions about installing the Sims 4. It suggests that I should install the game in C directly and not the program files (or something similar to that lol). My problem is, I do not install my Sims games to C. I use another internal drive for all of my game installations and while doing this, at least with Sims 3, game would install an amount of data to C: too. When I install to another drive, game does not prompt me about the installations made to C:. So if I install the game to, let's say, F> Game Installations>Sims Series>Sims 4>Base Game or F> Game Installations>Sims Series>Sims 4>Get to Work and such, would it work or would I have problems. Any suggestions?

//MOVED

Hello and welcome to the forum @Quetze,

I moved your topic to the correct section, and I merged your 2 messages into just one single thread too.

About the first paragraph, if you want to have the "complete pack" of The Sims 4 (minus the newest DLC, which haven't been cracked as of now), you should keep the following installation order.

1) TS4 Base game
2) "Get to Work"
3) "Get together"
4) Hotfix (see this here)

We don't have separate items for Spa Day, Outdoor Retreat, etc., due to the way The Sims 4 works (which is totally different from The Sims 3, by the way). As of now, we prefer merging these little updates into separate and bigger packs, hence your releases are called "Get to Work" and "Get together", but they include all pirated DLC available until now.

As for the second paragraph, I believe you should have a look at this thread here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t19572-how-to-move-the-sims-4-to-another-partition-after-installation-fix

I'm sorry there is no easier solution as of now, but maybe we will come up with a "new" base game in the future, that will be easier to install, than this one here.

Good luck nonetheless and feel free to post back if you have more questions !

Thank you, for the welcome.

Thanks again for the reply. I just got it now. I was confused and I thought any DLC have not been cracked yet. So I am starting Sims 4 with the information you provided. Smile And installation path is not a big problem. I have HDD space, just wanted to keep the order in my pc (kinda obsessive) but if its that hard, I can live with it. Thank you very much.
