The problem is when I search these bugs, I find practically no solutions. Every google solution claims either delete CC (which I don't have), repair through origin (which I can't do with this crack, no?), or "gee I hope your save isn't corrupted." (gee thanks) This is a rather unhelpful or unknowledgeable community as far as workarounds and manual fixes go, I'm afraid...

My question is, is there a possible way to try the repair game option with this crack? Is that option even that helpful or not really? If it's not possible for me to do it, is there an alternative method that's just as effective? And if no to both of those, should I concern myself with these bugs or are these honestly just things that tend to happen to almost every Sims 4 player? Are they signs of a corrupted file or something worse, or is it just some unfortunate bugs I'll need to live with until a patch (hopefully) comes along to fix these?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Beatoften,

Where shall I start ? The option "repair in Origin" essentially checks the installation files of an Origin game, to the files on the Origin servers, and in the event of any corruption or the like, the missing or damaged files get replaced. In case of pirated Sims 4 games, you could also uninstall the game, and re-install If you do that, please make sure to keep the install order as follows (if you haven't done so already).

1) TS4 Base game
2) Get to Work
3) Get together
4) And finally the little hotfix

The "community" of The Sims 4 as a whole indeed seems to be rather slow in these things. But if you take into account the "un-popularity" of the game (at least in comparison with TS2 & TS3), my opinion is that it's not so surprising that barely anybody cares. In TS3 for instance, you had a much bigger and more complex game, and there were modders that actually concerned themselves with bugs, such as NRAAS and the people who created the so-called "savefiles cleaner for TS3", back then.

Feel free to try the un-installation and re-installation of the game, though I can't really tell you more here, I'm sorry. It's a shame that such a game with so little in-game content has so many bugs, but yes, what can we do ? Not much, other than wait for a possible patch in the future.

Beatoften wrote:Thanks for at least taking the time to respond, even if there isn't much to say. I have to agree with your sentiments on the community.

I figured as much though, since for example, with the kissing/woohoo glitch I have between two sims, I'd imagine that something has caused the game to falsely register one of the two as a teen or some other "off-limits" romantic interest qualifier, thus the "first kiss" option never properly appears and all other social interactions can't be unlocked since that one is never properly performed. This seems like something anyone should be able to conclude and possibly find a fix/work-around for with enough experimentation, and yet any google searches are pretty barren, and I can't even find someone with the same theory as me on the matter even though I don't think my above theory is at all very complex or out there; it seems like common sense. It's a shame really, but it just feels like the game doesn't have a large enough playerbase to house a good portion of the community that actually has a mind for finding and fixing the causes of such bugs. I mean I think I've got a mind for locating and explaining why some bugs happen, but even if I could explain how one occurs or recommend methods to avoid triggering one, I know nothing about actually creating a mod or patch to fix any of them; it does take a qualified individual to both find and fix such issues. Those qualified individuals seem scarce for Sims 4, thus the community as a whole is left with generic "fixes" akin to "have you tried turning it off and on again," and sometimes that just doesn't cut it. (I can't really picture the kiss bug being fixed by such solutions for example since it's specific to two sims and their interactions with one another only and clearly not a widespread file error affecting my entire game)

Oh well, here's hoping something forces EA to get rather vigilant with future patch efforts, though I'm not exactly holding my breath on that. Oh my...

If the game (falsely) recognized one of the sims as a teen, or if there was something else in terms of an 'obstacle' between these two sims, the conclusion could be that your sim may need to try the first kiss on another sim (that may not be ideal romance, but oh well). Have you tested that already ?

I never bothered to google about this, but let's keep in mind that what one person may consider a valid point (such as your suspicion about why this glitch is happening), it may not be meaningful to another person. And the rules of human logic or reason cannot or should not be readily applied to a video game in my eyes. Ultimately, we as outsiders have no way of knowing what exactly the game is "falsely registering" or not. And here's the catch: I would even go as far to say that the developers of the game themselves have lost sight about these glitches. Of course, this is a theory from my part then, and it doesn't have to be true.

And yes, as for G4TW for instance, we're not really in the modding business, though in the past we did come up with some very nice solutions regarding TS3, such as the Ultimate fix, or the last version of the store fixes. As for me personally, I'm not so much into these romantic interactions in Sims games, I'm sorry. Interestingly, I recall speaking to @Dieneryn (a former team member on G4TW here) back then in the fall of 2014, shortly after the game was released, and she predicted that not many people would be playing TS4. And in retrospect, that was a very remarkable prediction.

The "community" from back in the days of TS3 has either grown up, moved on or otherwise lost interest. And the "new generation" of simmers may not be as vigilant indeed. Or they are just turned off by the features (or lack thereof) in TS4. Who knows ?

Edit: I have to admit, I am myself lethargic when it comes to TS4. I just don't find the enjoyment like in TS3 back then.

Yeah I've given it a test and that's precisely what I mean:

Those two sims, the female cannot kiss or woohoo with the male, but the male can kiss/woohoo with the female, and both of them can kiss/woohoo with all other sims without a problem. Th

Some of the minor bugs get fixed in small game updates, though I'm unsure about your specific issue. But since the pirated game lags behind the official EA/Origin version, pirated will need to wait longer. You could of course buy the game(s), but that will be very expensive.

With or without kissing/woohooing, the game is still largely playable and at the end of the day I guess that is all I can reasonably ask for, from a pirated game. I made it into a habit of not expecting much of anything (so I very rarely get disappointed or upset). Life will go on, with or without The Sims 4. Very Happy
There are so many other games out there, so it's not worth lamenting about TS4.

Not sure if you played the other Sims games, but we also have TS2, TS Medieval, TS3, TS1, The Sims Stories and MySims too. There is now also a small Minecraft-section on the forum here (including a server on which Minecraft can be played - for free of course). Adding to that, we have a number of non-Sims games too here - and more non-Sims titles will be coming soon. Case in point, maybe you will find other things of interest there.
