When will the misc & other be available?

It says it is coming soon. However I am missing a few store stuff which use to be located in your old mediafire account which is now dead, such as the Happy Holiday Presents and a few others.

I'm not sure when the site is going to be worked on again, but as an alternative to these .sims3pack files, I was working on a complete store torrent. But due to technical difficulties (things not showing up in-game despite being properly installed as .package files), I have to start over there.

In the meantime, I still have the "Holiday Collector's edition items" uploaded somewhere...here:

Would it help your situation or make you happier, if that specific 'notice' was removed from the page ? Maybe, but I don't think so. Smile

One reason the site has not been worked on was because of technical difficulties.

At that point I could also mention the fact that the hosting for the site is paid for by the Admin, for all of us to enjoy (yes, the bills for the site need to be paid too), and that a little bit of gratitude would be appreciated here, even if the site is not completed yet. But I'll assume you only had positive intentions.

Probably we are going to release the complete torrent sooner than the site is going to be finished. If you really cannot wait for the site to be finished or for us to release a torrent of our own, you can also get a complete store torrent in the meantime from another uploader. Look on the torrent networks, for example for "rachelstoolbox".

I didn't try to be rude or anything, I did have positive intentions just I was was wondering about the content due to it stating 'coming soon', that is all. You don't need to remove it, but more people like me may ask about the content in the future. Wink

I do understand admin pays for everything and it is greatly appreciated, but why not use free file hosting sites like you use to with mediafire(except one that doesn't delete the content Smile

) if it is too costly to host it on your own webserver?

Or instead of just uploading one huge 10gb file of store files as a torrent containing everything like you said you were going to do in the future, just break them down by year and extras, then just link to the other torrents in the description so people can find them. This way you are only uploading like 2GB torrents at a time, and seeding won't be as much of an issue compared to seeding some 10GB file.

I will check out that uploader you recommended to check if I have everything, I wish I could upload my collection but living in Australia with 0.8mbit Upload internet sucks(100kBps makes me sad Sad

Games4theworld actually used MediaFire in the past, but the problem was that someone 'reported' the account for copyright violation, and then the account was suspended. Also, I personally find the idea of having separate smaller torrents a bit cumbersome, but yes, we'll see. Indeed, having bigger torrents means they may be more difficult to seed, but thankfully, our Sims-releases have plenty of people who are willing to seed (typically, there can be up to several hundred seeders for each of these games).

I see that the torrent from rachelstoolbox is not there anymore for some reason. But yes, you can also use the one from Sim Architect too. See this post here:

This is a magnet link, which means you need to copy and paste the entire line into your browser mask, and if done correctly, your torrent client should then start up.

The idea behind the website was actually that sometimes people prefer to pick and choose their sims3packs rather than download an all-in-one file.
Perhaps we can cross the t's and dot the I's soon, we'll see.

I'd also like to add that simply creating NEW MediaFire or MEGA accounts isn't going to work either, because as soon as we announce that in public and link to that, it's going to get reported again.

People who follow G4TW and similar platforms are not always fans of 'piracy', but may have different agendas.
