Experimental: language change and the TS4_x64.exe.

The following is an experimental fix for those of you who want to use the 64-bit executable of "The Sims 4" (TS4_x64.exe), and want to use a different in-game display language than English. Feel free to post your feedback here. Depending on your feedback, I will re-write the post/make minor changes or move it to the "TS4 Fixes"-section.

1) If you downloaded the Sims 4 games from Games4theworld, and installed the latest Get together-update, then your install folder "The Sims 4" will normally be located in C:\Program files (x86). Now, you MUST move this folder "The Sims 4" directly under the following location:

C:\Program files

2) Download the registry-pack I compiled, from this link here:
http://bit.ly/1K5zREG

Use WinRAR to unpack the folder inside. Navigate inside the folder, and you should see a bunch of files. Now, depending on which language you want to choose, double-click on the appropriate registry entry and confirm the next two window pop-ups. The example screenshots show me importing the registry entry for "Swedish" (which I did for testing purposes).

3) Finally, navigate to C:\Program files\The Sims 4\Game\Bin. Start the game - from now on - with the TS4_x64.exe. Alternatively, you can of course make a shortcut to the desktop too, from that file.

4) Have fun with the new in-game display language ! Very Happy

Thank you this works for me, I just edited your reg file, for my country language bcs I dont wana put it to program files and it run well Smile

Welcome to the forum @patricianus and thanks for the feedback,

I used the C:\Program files location here out of convenience, and indeed, it *may be* possible to have the folder elsewhere too, than in C:\Program files (x86). They key here seems to be mainly the registry. If the system cannot detect a registry entry for the game under the 64-bit location, namely HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software, then you can't run anything else besides English.

What you put as "InstallDir" in the registry entry is of secondary importance, in my experience. The essential thing, again, is to have a registry key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software, and correct entries under "GDFBinary" and "Locale". Smile

Update on 19-07-2016, topic has been basketed due to having become obsolete (alongside this here). I will come up with a new guide in the coming days, since RELOADED or whoever created the crack have seemingly revamped the system that handles the in-game display language.
