disc authentication failure. [SOLVED] Empty disc authentication failure. [SOLVED]

So I had to redownload my sims 3 game . and with that, i thought was going to need to redownload all the expansion pack, but instead, all the data still remain.  I have it all up to date and I even have the manual fix.  it won't let me play it says "no game disc found! please insert The SimsTM 3  into the future game disc before proceeding ."
I've removed and redownloaded that game and it still will not work.
I'm not sure whats wrong please help
Why. Why. Why.
 i uninstalled the into the future game and it's just saying a different expansion pack wont work

Hi there!


From what I understand you need to install the base game first and then any other EP and SP that you want.


By having the data remain, do you mean the installation files or the folders that have been installed in the Sims 3 folder? If you had uninstall the base game before, there's a chance installing the base game AFTER will not work as some components might be missing.


The long-winded way would be to uninstall everything and install back step by step.

Welcome to the forum.


It sounds like you only uninstalled the base game, then, it makes sense that your expansions are all still intact. I think you should be able to fix this rather easily by reapplying the crack from the fix.
Should you run into another error after that, please let us know.

I'm sorry if I'm confusing, but I tried applying the "fix" but that didn't work. I did uninstall the base game only, I accidently connected to origin so I had to uninstall it. I redownloaded  the base game, and the expansion packs remaind. Now it won't let me play cause it says my expansion packs need to have the disc inserted to authorize it. 
 "no game disc found! please insert The SimsTM 3  Into the future game disc before proceeding ."

Ok, can you tell us where you copied the crack to? Perhaps a screenshot even? It would be great if you could make it show the "date modified" of the files in that folder.

its fine now i fixed it i just had to redownload the base game.
