Problems passing edicts in The Sims Medieval.

Hi

I'm not one to ever post problems on forums mostly because I find their already solved on other posts, but I've found a persistent problem with my sims medieval game downloaded here. 

When I first started playing I had no problems but after my first king accidentally died I haven't been able to pass edicts from monarch or spy professions when they have their responsibility to do so. The option doesn't ever come up on the tactical map at all and my monarch who died was in the process of passing an edict. 

I'm not sure if this is a game glitch or not but I can't find any others on any other forum who's encountered this problem. So I figured I'd ask here since I received the game here and hopefully someone can help me fix this technical issue?

I've already tried a few things like updating the game and re applying the ultimate fix and even getting a new monarch and new spy but nothing has worked so far. Is there something I'm missing before doing it.

Also since I haven't posted before I hope I've posted in the right place.. my bad if I've not followed the rules here.

Update: it probably was a glitch but starting a new ambition resolved it and I just needed to thought it out the first round...

Cool to hear that! I do know too, that in some cases, re-doing the "manual patch" and re-applying The Sims Medieval Ultimate fix can help as well, with fixing some of the glitches. That means, the steps #2 and #3 here;
