The problem is fixed. I extracted the files to a seperate folder on my desktop than copied them into my The Sims 4 folder

Hello @Throwaway6 and welcome to the Forum!

Glad to hear you managed to fix it yourself! You should be able though to extract directly from the .RAR, into the install folder of The Sims 4. Make sure to navigate to the install folder and then open WinRAR (in a new window). You can mark all contents with the mouse and then simply drag/drop them into the install folder nearby.
