How do I keep both?

So how do I keep both copies of the game and the ability to switch between them?

I want to keep the official origin game so I'm able to check out new content and game updates, without having to redownload the entire game each time...
However I also want to have the full cracked version easily accessible when I want to play with expansions and game packs, without having to constantly uninstalling the original and unzipping the g4tw game folder.

I thought I seen something on here where you could have both copies available and the ability to switch and play either one, but now I can't find the post.

First of all, you will need to keep the Origin game and the cracked one in SEPARATE install locations, which normally shouldn't be a problem. As for the rest, you should check out this here:

Hey, I tried doing this and my legit TS4 uninstalled itself, and the pirated one kept asking me to log into Origin. 

I put the updated (toddler patch) game files into the cracked version, but the cracked version was in programfiles/origingames/thesims4

And the pirated was in programfiles/thesims4 ... Is that the issue you mean when you say they can't be in the same install folder?
