The saboteur [FIXED]

I downloaded and installed the game but when i run it i get this error message:



Does anyone know why and how to fix it? I would really like to play the game.
My laptop can run the game and i properly copied the crack content thanks.

When you're missing a .DLL file in order to run a Game or Program, just go to http://www.dll-files.com and Download the missing .DLL file(s). In this case we're missing the 'binkw32.dll', which can be Downloaded from: http://www.dll-files.com/binkw32.zip?0VIkWAWIjU

Open the .zip file you just Downloaded and copy + paste the .DLL file to: C:\Windows\System32 and replace the .DLL file with the existing one.
Now, if this still doesn't fix your problem, copy the .DLL file to the Game Directory, which by default will be somewhere in: C:\Program Files\... (Or Windows 7: C:\Program Files (x86)\...

I downloaded the binkw32.dll file and copied into my system32 folder, there was nothing to replace, and after i did this and tried to run the game i got this error message:




so i copied the .dll file to the games directory and i still got this message.

I searched the web and it seems a lot of people have this problem. Try to Update your DirectX here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en

I'm still looking for a fix.

thanks, my directx is fully up to date also i tried running it directly from the launcher.exe and when i press play nothing loads the launcher just exits but i think its because of the same problem as when i run it from the shortcut, but thank you for your help ill keep looking for possible solutions also.

ok it took the piss to found but i found my solution,
the .dll file was out of date so it was a simple matter of finding an up to date one, the link you gave me was also an older version apparently but i found one on rapidshare and the game runs like a beaut

Nice, glad you could fix the problem. I'm creating a 'Fix' topic for this one. I was already thinking that the .dll file maybe was out-of-date, but I thought http://www.dll-files.com was up-to-date.

Ps. This was one of the best Games I played. It's a little bit confusing in the beginning, but after a while you'll understand the story and the Game. I just finished the Game a few days ago, really GREAT game.

thanks and i hope others can benefit from this fix, and ive been watching game trailers and it certainly looks amazing, im a big fan of the old call of duty games for the pc.

Well, it's not a Call of Duty Game at all, but anyway, you'll see it yourself when you get further in the Game. For now, topic closed.
