Installing from scratch, after many probs. [SOLVED] Empty Installing from scratch, after many probs. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Mon 28 Nov 2011, 14:50

First of all i wanna thank this website and it admin and moderators for such a comprehensive, and
helpfull site, there is many sites and comments on the web and torrent sites but non as gud as g4tw.

B4 i start, i want to say this is the 3rd time i try to install, and b4 i did so i read pretty much the whole forum on known issues and solutions.

This is what i did b4 beginning to install the game. with all expansions and stuffpacks.

1. completely deleted everything sims3 and restarted my comp.
2. Downloaded all the sims4 torrents available from Games4TheWorld
3. Downloaded the Ultimate fix file form this site
4. Downloaded the Manual update file thru admin given link to 1.26 cause i have yet not been able to update thru manager b4 so will try and go for manual this time
5. copied instructions to notepad file on the DEP guide for win7.

Now im ready to install.

1. Mounted and installed the base game, and did not apply the crack
2. Installed the Download manager after the game install finished.
3. Now off to World Adv. changed the SKU value in regedit
local machine/software/wow6432node/sims/The Sims3/
and changed its value from value 7 to value 2. I read that admin stated on forum that the crack folder wouldnt be needed if im going to get all the packs. except for the 3 packs noted in ultimate fix file.
4. removed download manager form tray and ran the install for W.A. i run it as administrator.
when it says (moet the sims3 eerst bijwerken) has to adjust the base sims3 file. Nothing new so it hit the okay button. It then pops up a note that it has to abort this since it encountered an error.
5. So i tried with again with download manager turned on. and same story again..

Please help me ive been trying to get myself informed as much as i could thru this forum. b4 i wanted to make a post, and bother you guys with this but i wanna stay within the guides youve made..

thanks in advance

Hello,

Assuming that you did read this page: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly , please note that the written order is very important. This means, install either Pets, Generations and/or Town Life Stuff after the base game first. (So not WA)
