Restaurant Empire II Problem after install

Hi,

I have just installed RE II, and the installation seemed to go fine, then when I load the game it says its loading but as soon as it hits the max bar it makes a windows noise which indicates there is a problem and it just freezes after that.Also i have just noticed that an error box appears saying "Cannot read texture". I have uninstalled and restarted and installed again several times, i have the updated version of DirectX so i am stuck in what to do to resolve this. Please could you help
