Cracked Mass Effect 3 + bought DLC? (Origin) Empty Cracked Mass Effect 3 + bought DLC? (Origin)

Hello!

I have a cracked Mass Effect 3 version. Usually when I downloaded DLCs they were cracked as well so I never had any problems, but there was one DLC I couldn't find anywhere so I bought it. Later I saw that DLCs are downloaded and installed through Origin, which I don't have, because it's a cracked game.
Is there any way to manually install that DLC without Origin?

Hello,

If Origin is the only means of distribution for that DLC, then I guess there's no way around it. If it was possible to download "just" the DLC, without having the cracked game in Origin, then it would be possible, but then I have no experience with that game and how it works.

I'm sorry to hear that you spent money on that DLC, but things like that are one reason I don't actually buy most of my stuff (including any available DLC). Now imagine you really managed to download/install that DLC via Origin. Later on, when you browse through Piratebay, you suddenly see that the DLC you were looking for has been uploaded by someone. Now how would that feel ? I would be pretty annoyed, to say the least.

Theoretically, if your Mass Effect 3 installation works like the one of the retail version (i.e. if it is not a "modified" installer), then you could try creating a custom Origin (program files) folder for that game, edit a few registry entries (to change the location of the game program files to the custom Origin folder), copy/move all game files to said custom Origin folder, and thereby "trick" the Origin client. However, that's just a "theory" from me, which I haven't tested myself (but I've seen the "other way round" - namely someone getting a game "out of Origin", by basically reversing the process I just described). Maybe someone else knows more about that though. And besides, this might not work for all games, of course.

Sorry I can't help more with that.
