Mods not working Empty Mods not working

Post by Guest Tue 21 Feb 2017, 21:03

I have an issue with mods. I installed some mods from tumblr and from the sims resource but my game started crashing on the loading screen where it says The Sims 4. Then i downloaded the mod conflict detector and deleted the ones that were probably making it crash and deleted especially the ones from tumblr. I ran the game after that and it worked fine, but the new mods weren't there. So i deleted the mods folder, after it created a new one i copied all my mods again on that folder but now none of the mods work. I tried everything, the option "enable custom content" is activated, the mods folder is in This PC>Documents>Electronics Arts>The Sims 4>Mods, everything is fine so i don't understand why they are not working. I hope i'm being clear enough, my native language isn't english.

You need to check the create date of the mods before you download them. The pirated game havnt got the last updates from origin so some mods,if they are newer than the last update of your game, they dont work.Sorry for my bad english i hope you can understand Very Happy

Try mods created before the January 2017,just to be sure that they work

Also check if you copied the Resource.cfg inside the new mods file

The cc that i downloaded is old actually, like from months ago, so that shouldn't be the problem. The Resource.cfg is there too, what i find odd is that my lots work and everything in the tray carpet does but nothing from the mods one. Your english is perfect by the way! I really don't know what the problem is and i can't play without mods but i don't want to uninstall them either because of my families. Thank you for your help tho!!

Maybe there is a mod inside them who makes that problem, you can try smthing else, remove all your mods and put them on new files 10-15 at a time, then try the files 1 by 1 and see which of them works and which of them dont work. You need a lot of time if you have many mods but is the only way to check them. The truth is that these conflict detecters cant rly help you

I found out the problem, i don't know why but my mods folder isn't where it should be. It's in C:, users, my username, documents, electronic arts, the sims 4, mods. There's another mods folder where it should be but the game doesn't read it from that folder. Anyway, thanks for your help!
