Re: I want to play pc games
There looks nothing wrong with your, which looks like a, laptop.
I recommend this:
1. Get Windows 7.
2. Nothing wrong with the processor.
3. 80GB HDD? Well, if you can store your Games on that, it's OK.
4. 2GB RAM is good for normal gaming, but for real hardcore, go for 4GB DDR3. But nothing wrong with 2GB.
5. Maybe a Nvidia Geforce GTX 4xx or a ATI Radeon HD 5xxx. These are the better graphic cards (Nor for laptop though) and they support DirectX 11.

The CPU and RAM would be the choke point, as would the HDD since if it is 80GB, it would either be an IDE or SATA 1.5. Also, the C2D is limited to DDR2 in a majority of LGA775 motherboards. That CPU is also desktop architecture, I have one in my media server (great deal btw, it can be had for ~$60USD) which means there is only 2 ways to go, upgrade the CPU to a C2Q or replace the entire machine (recommended since a good quad CPU and 4GB RAM with a respectable GPU can be had for cheap). For the OP's current setup, I wouldn't go higher than a 9600GT or 9800GT. Toss another 2GB of RAM in and you should be good to go for many games out there, like Left 4 Dead 2 and below (maybe even CoD4 with mid to high settings). Sims 3 would choke it like a pimp.
Sorry for sounding like a major dick, I just got off work, it's 3:53AM here. Let me know if it was dickish, I'll fix it.
