Expansion packs not working & no welcome page. Empty Expansion packs not working & no welcome page.

Post by Guest Fri 24 Mar 2017, 15:32

Hi,

I've downloaded the base game and the expansion packs. The base game works fine but it seems really old school considering I've purchased the game from origin before and deleted it to add this one and the expansions. It doesn't have the same start page, doesn't even show you the options of which packs I have downloaded and none of them work. It looks more like the sims 2. Even the phone isn't the same as the origin downloaded one.

Please help

Welcome to the Forum @Gemmanne and sorry for the late reply,

Did you install the base game -> Get to Work -> Get together -> City Living, as outlined in the guide here?

After doing so, your game will be patched to 1.25.136.1020. And yes, Origin games tend to get updated more quickly, and hence might have a different "look" than the cracked games.

P.S. the "welcome page", what do you mean by that? The popup that shows what DLC are installed? That only shows up the very first time, when you start the game after installing it. If you rename the folder "The Sims 4" under Documents\Electronic Arts, the popups should re-appear though (but again only once).
