Warning 4154 and Error 12002
I have made the exclusions in my Antivirus programs, and I have finished downloading everything from a torrent. I have a x64 bit system. When I go to install TS4 base game using the .exe and the windows installer, it says:
"12002
https:// download.microsoft(.)com/download/B/C/3/BC31082E-81B1-48D5-AA89-96DD2B853126/vcredist_x64.exe" twice.
It will then prompt me admin rights, I say yes, and it says: "Warning 4154. Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 x64 prerequisite was not correctly installed. Continue Installation of The Sims 4?"
So I hit no. I found like 2 other Sims 4 threads with this issue. One said solution was "Oh you must have x32 bit" and no reply from the author. The other's was to find some files from the download, but I do not have those files in my folder. At least, I don't think so. I'll double check. Any tips, in the mean time?
Note: I did try going to the URL to install... didn't work. Said it could not be downloaded.

Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
So Sims 4 has been partially installed ?
Have a look at the installation folder (at this stage I think it is C:\Program Files (x64)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4)
There is a folder _Installer.
Open that folder -> vc -> vc2013 -> redist
In redist you'll find 2 files, vcredist. Run them both.

Hello and welcome to the Forum @nataliaswings,
You can find direct links to those runtimes in the post here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t20398-the-procedure-entry-point-____-could-not-be-located-msvcp120-dll-is-missing
The other thing is...normally, if you have all Windows updates installed, these runtimes should come along in those updates as well. Then again, you can always download them manually in case of doubt.
You will recognize already-installed runtimes by the fact that it shows "repair" in the first window, when you run the installer once again.

Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
Tarac,
I thought I had a partial installation, too. However when I went to go check, the folder was never created. I do not have The Sims 4 partially installed. I'll try hitting "Install Anyway" to see if that helps. I'll also redownload like The_Ghostm4n suggested
Update: I think skipping ahead, and going back to install worked. I'll install the DLC and EPs before I come to the conclusion. Thank you both again.
Okay. Update, I am getting "C:\Users\Name\Desktop\downloads\The Sims 4 - Parenthood.rar: Cannot change attributes of C:\Users\Name\Desktop\downloads\The Sims 4 - Parenthood\Game\Bin\RldOrigin_ext.dll". Should I continue with the installation, or re-download the torrent? I add my downloads folder to my exceptions. Could it have something to do with my installing the Toddlers, and Vampires update didn't give me a Game- folder?

Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
Apparently your downloads come to your Desktop.
So the folder Sims 4 Parenthood.rar must be extracted with Winrar first and then the extracted folders should be copied to your installation folder in Program Files.
Installing Toddlers/Vampires doesn't create the Game_ folder. That is something you have to rename yourself manually.
See THIS PAGE item 5a (I thought it was easier to use Delete instead of renaming)

Which folder do I re-name? Just the basic game folder? That's how I install all of my games, haha. I extract them, then copy and paste.
I have been giving the game a test whirl. It loads, and I can create sims. When I go to play a lot/family it just loads, and loads, and loads, and loads. I think I will delete all the unzipped .rar files, and uninstall the Sims 4 I currently have installed. Start from scratch.

1. DELETE the folder Game from your install folder in Program Files
2. If Toddlers/Vampires is your highest installed DLC, then download and extract THIS GAME FOLDER and copy it to your install folder
3. If you already installed Fitness, then download and extract THIS GAME FOLDER and copy it to your install folder

Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
I noticed something weird. I torrented the Toddlers/Vampires, and the torrent turned into The Sims 4 Update v1.29. Well, that's fine because technically it is an update. So I just read the Installation Guide (can't deny, I skimmed the first time I installed the game), and it's showing up for City Living. I don't have the installation guide for the Toddlers/Vampires.
The only Game folder I have is the one with the Game/Bin/ type of stuff. So that would be the folder I would delete, and replace, right?
Edit: Well, I think I got it figured out.
Yep, I replace the Game folder that has the Bin. Okay. Will update with results after testing game.

Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
Okay, so I replaced the Game folder after installing everything using the Fitness one you provided. I never got 2 Game folders created during the process. It still just loops, and loops when loading a lot. It recognizes I have Toddlers, Vampires, etc. I am not sure what I am missing.
I follow the steps on the *MUST READ* perfectly, outside of the 2 Game folders step. Do I need to re-download the torrents, or something?

The content of the installation guide is correct but shows the wrong heading City Living. Should be Toddlers/Vampiresnataliaswings wrote:I noticed something weird. Just delete the existing folder Game and replace by the folder Game from the Fitness download.@nataliaswings schreef:Okay, so I replaced the Game folder after installing everything using the Fitness one you provided. Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
I hate having to keep coming back, but at least there's something different happening this time. So, it no longer loads, and loads, and loads. Now it loads, but then takes me back to Select a Neighborhood. I tried different families, and tried selecting already placed families. It does this either way. I did delete the Game folder from my The Sims 4 folder. I have been moving the whole folder (once the instructions mention it) to the Program Files x86. Any other suggestions for me?

Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
Have you tried a fresh folder The Sims 4 in Documents\Electronic Arts by renaming that folder to The Sims 4_old and start your game again ?
Any CC mods in your game ?

Re: Warning 4154 and Error 12002
I completely forgot about that. I didn't realize it was not uninstalling that folder. I just re-named it to old, and will try launching the game now. I do not have any CC mods to conflict. After changing the folder name: It did the load, and then take my back to the world selection again. Should I re-download the torrents? I have been following the *Must Read*, and deleting the Game Folder to replace it.
