The Sims 2 Installation Problems.
Hello,
I am using Windows 10 and recently I donwloaded The Sims 2 The Complete Collection. And here is my story
First I extracted (with Win.Rar) everything in the same folder where the .RAR file was (Downloads file). I started installing the game as the instructions said first form the extracted file Double Deluxe. Then I went to the .RAR file and started installing the University. There, I got the Disk 1 problem. I searshed the forum and I find out the solution was to take the extracted file to another file. I just drop it at the desktop. I went back to .RAR and reinstalled the University. But again I had the Disk 1 problem. I searshed and I fount that the solution was to go to the extracted file and started from there the installation with Admin Rights (I am not sure if that is how it is called ). The problem still existed. SO I fully unistalled the game us it was said in a link you had post for unistalling the game (first at Documents, then Programms x86, followed by the hidden files and finaly by ccleaner). I started again intalling the game as the instraction said but with the extracted folder still at the desktop. The disk problem was gone. But now I had the ''Incomplete Instalation Problem'' (something like that) and then after I pressed ok the University started to unistalling it self. I searshed for a solution and find 2 things. 1. Delete everything and try again. 2. Go to task manager when that message was popping and press like crazy the DEL button on the EA task. The second worked so I continued installing the game. When I finished I started the game from the Mansion and waited for a long time (us I was informed) and then when the game was loaded I opened one of the worlds. And bt suprise the university and another 2 expansion that had the ''Incomplete Instalation Problem'' where not installed.
Soo.. I was doing something stupid? Feel free to say it .
Thanks.

Have you read this: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t24221-must-read-overview-topic-for-the-sims-2#
and the special section about the Disk-1 problem: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21964-please-insert-disk-number-1-during-the-sims-2-installation-fix#
As an alternative you can download Mr.DJ's Ultimate collection.
Just click on setup and all packs will be installed automatically.

Did you also try changing the name of the "University" installation-folder, as mentioned under #2 in the guide?

Re: The Sims 2 Installation Problems.
Hello,
Sorry for not posting for that long time I was on vacations
I tried everything the guide told me. But only the Mr.Dj's worked.. But now I have a different problem. And I don't know if I have to post it here..
I will just say a review of what happens and please tell me where to go and ask for help (if I don't bother you).
After I launch the Sims 2 (I open with administration ) when I go and open a house or I am going to create a sim, the game crashes and a window pops up and says : The Application The Sims 2 has crashed. The applecation will now terminate.
