Intermediate Freezing

Hello,
       My sims 4 game was working fine! I attempted to play today and the initial Sims 4 screen begins to load- it sometimes freezes here or it freezes during the plumbob loading screen. What makes this different than other post I see about freezing is when I escape out of the full screen of sims 4 then click it again to open the program, it continues to load--then shortly freezes after but I can essentially minimize and maximize it to get all the way through to a world screen.

 I have looked at and completed all applicable steps from:
 The Sims 4 crashes/freezes/causes shutdowns, possible fixes. [UPDATED ON 18-07-2016]

I have also tried re-applying the ultimate fix. When I click on the ultimate fix page now- it is no longer available? and the newer one below says (currently n/a) so i'm not sure if this is needed.

Hi there, NO, please do not apply that fix. It is to be used only by players who do not want all the DLC,s You will loose everything. It cancells out all the DLC's and you will have base game only.
