Adult sim can't interact with toddlers or other sim adults???

I'm having issues where I make a new sim with a toddler in CAS and the adult can't interact with its toddler. It also affects my saved game in which the adult who also has a toddler I made in CAS, can't interact with the adults in the game.

Hi there,

Do you have any mods/CCs? If yes, test them without the mods and see if they're able to interact now. If not, I'd suggest renaming your current Sims 4 folder in Documents, and then create a random new family to see if the bug still happens. If it does not, and mods/CCs are not the cause, it's likely the save has been corrupted as well.

You can either, copy your trays over (your household should be there) or renaming the Slot_00000004.save.ver0 to Slot_00000004.save, to revert back to an earlier save, hopefully before you made a toddler.

So I renamed the sims 4 folder in the documents folder, and now my mods aren't working. I also copied the trays in the same place. The bug is also still there.

Hi,

Yes, when you renamed the Sims 4 folder, the game will create another folder for you. This means you will have no mods/CCs, saves and your usersettings will be reset to default. Did you test the games without the mods afterwards? Perhaps you could send me one of your bug-saves to see if I have the same bug as well?

Sorry if my reply is late. You can just zip up your your saves folder and then upload them online (mega/mediafire or anything you prefer) and then send me the link here or via PM.

Update:
So I've played with Boles household (Save Game #8 ) and able to interact with the toddler in the house. And the toddler is able to interact with the sim as well. I've added a toddler to Benoit household (Save Game #2) and the interactions work as well. You can try to place the save game (from my end) to your game to see if you are able to interact now.

I'll PM you the updated saves. Do update me here later on.

Sorry for the late response. I haven't gotten a chance to play up until now.

Ok, so I played with the Boles household and it still didn't work but the other households it did work. I made a new one and the toddler was able to interact with the parent and vice versa. I'm assuming that the Boles household save was corrupted??? Either way, I think it works now Smile

Is it possible for me to use my mods with my game now?

I see. Not sure why the Boles was working on my end though. And yes, you can use the mods now. It's best to categorize them if you have ALOT of CCs however. Like hair folder, clothing, etc.
