SIms 3 Pets crashing!!! [CLOSED]

LOL!

I am still having an issue with SIms 3 Pets. I diligently followed the instructions from https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-10-01-2012

I have added the .exe file in DEP, changed the game resloution, Force off 3d settings Vertical Settings for nVidia etc.

I cannot find any help from EA. I am using the downloaded Sims 3 Pets "fixed" from games4world. It just keeps crashing. I am able to get the screen that let's me choose the neighborhood or saved games however whenever I choose any of them it loads then it hangs and crashes.

Any other help?

By the way, I am on Windows 7 PC 32-bit. I met all the system requirements so I don't think I have a problem with that...

I have disabled the custom content. Do I need to delete them all?

Well actually, the game works before even with CC but not after I installed Sims 3 Pets.

The game loads but when I start to select to play the saved game or even the new town, Appaloosa Plains the game crashes. It looks like its loading then the music stops then suddenly closes.

Right now, I just removed all custom content files even the saved games so its clean. I even cleared my pc's cache, turn off the Internet to load the game but still nothing works. I am perfectly sure that I have added all the needed .exe file at DEP. This is really becoming frustrating. I am thinking of reinstalling everything just to get it to work

I had the same problem as you did... crashing after trying to load a neighborhood.

I ended up having to uninstall and re-install everything.

However, I did NOT reinstall Pets. I have a feeling the patch does not work correctly with Pets.

I installed up through Generations, and I'm not having any problems.

Thanks Charlie! Reinstalling everything would be my very last option (if admin cannot help me anymore). I would really like to play the Sims 3 Pets. I have everything installed but the Master Life

The good thing though is that at least right now, I didn't have to spend 6 to 8 hours playing Sims 3 every single day

By the way, the crash happens after I select a neighborhood (ex: Apaloosa) then it freezes.

Do you have any Mods and/or Custom Content? If yes, remove ALL OF THEM first.

I already reinstalled all of the Sims 3 except Pets since I cannot wait
for admin anymore. I just want to play the game now. But I will still
try to find a way to resolve it. I hope it will be okay soon
