If you want me, you need to accept me for what I can and not be, I have Asperger's, I make lots of mistakes, but I never worked against G4TW, I always did my best sending people here, even after I left. I also never abused my powers neither here in the forum or the server.

Personally, I can work with anyone willing to try and @Ann says she can work with you as well, so I have no issues with you coming back home to G4TW. We all have quirks that some may not like, myself I tend to be overly blunt, but that's what makes us each unique. Wink

As for special titles and/or staff positions... We are currently discussing this, among other things, with the current staff so please stay tuned. I think you'll like the ideas we have for making G4TW even better than it is now. Can't touch banana

(p.s. If that wine is a good aged Merlot I'd love a glass. Laughing

Thanks! Not an aged Merlot, I like to buy Liebfraumilch (white/sweet), here in the Netherlands it's quite cheap!

The transparent background is fantastic to have a seamless experience, or maybe a shade of pink that's a bit darker than the inside of the wheels (yes, I love pink, even though/because I am colorblind)? I love the title you gave me Forum Entertainer, it sounds very exclusive and it will also look lovely in #FFAABB pink (only if possible, of course), thanks for that too! Hail King Tea!

The 'problem' is that the standard width for all these pictures right now is 161 px. If you wanted more than 5 cameras in the logo, I would either need to increase the width of the entire picture (which could look a bit odd in this Forum layout with the current dimensions), or leave it at 161 px, but shorten the size of the individual cameras. The problem with the latter is, that a motive like this here is a bit more nuanced than e.g. my stars. If you make the individual cameras too small, people may not recognize the icon as a bunch of cameras.

Similar with the crown icons that I prepared back then for ~Ann~ and the old Admin, if you make elaborate motives like these too small, it's not looking good.

I've also prepared a version with 7 cameras, but in my opinion it doesn't look good:

Individual camera dimensions are the same as in the 5-camera version, but the overall width has been increased.

I do not know why you guys are using small avatars, look at mine (and it follows the uploading / linking rules) ...

The wide one with seven cameras like I see would probably fit the width of the max allowed avatar, you can possibly even give a bit of a spacing between Ann's crowns and your own stars (Image Below), and remove a couple of pixels in the distance between mine?

Of course, you two decide whichever you like better. You're the bosses Wink

I'll see what I can do here; but you can't have custom font colors for individual users here. You would need to edit the BBCode for every individual message. I think there is a Global Setting about the standard Forum font color, but if that was changed, every user would end up with the same color...

For example by offering that we use his Minecraft server for official G4TW purposes, by helping us seed new games and by giving some other general advice. I believe he has also said he was going to focus more on general tutorials rather than getting back to individual users. And again, that shall be fine by me, as you have certainly seen yourself that even in the TS4 sections here, activity has dropped to near zero.

An Entertainer can be a "joker", yes. But in this context, I understood it in such a way that he wants to focus more on creating YouTube videos.

An image URL is typically not so long. With the Lightshot and some other sources (Google for example). And an image URL ends with a file ending like .png, .jpeg or any other valid format.

When you simply right-click on an image on the internet and choose "copy image address", you end up with an ultra long line of code, so you have to gather the image URL through other means. In this instance, right-click on the image and choose "Inspect". Then look for the image URL in the source code and copy the URL. You can then easily copy it onto the Forum here.

Thanks for clarifying things, and I used to help in the past, if @Tarac takes a look at the forum, but I left the Forum entirely about two years and a half ago, for reasons that aren't into analysis here.

I do not mean to keep the entertainer title as a joke. This title was actually given to me by Admin, and I am making use of it because, as a YouTuber, I feel it's a good fit, since my goal is to produce video tutorials and, as Carlos mentioned, considering my current health limitations, I plan my "reentry" to be more focused in general content.

It may come as self promotion and, honestly, I am too sick (to give you an idea, I am on two painkillers plus Warning: TEA

right now, dragging myself through the morning on a cloudy brain fog and movement limitations) to care about your opinion on that, I am how I am, I am offering to help however I can, and I see no problem on getting benefits from it.

I DO monetize my content and, even though it's currently only candy cash, it helps paying for my Minecraft server and yes, as an unemployed person living on a VERY restricted disability income (some would say under the poverty line, as it's lower than European welfare standards, but I am not starving, I can even afford having a nice computer and my hefty Dutch car tax and insurance), if I get to make content that's good enough to "pay for some of my time", so be it.

Wanting real fame would be plain stupid, though, as the educational nature of our content might be questioned by some, so I just want to publish things people can use and perhaps get some extra cash into my budget.

I am who I am, with qualities, defects and limitations. I am trying to do something good here, even though it may seem "too little, too late". Take me for who I am or not. I am not changing my colors because I just can't.

Yes, the fora (G4TW and my forum) are "dead", however the number of daily visitors did not drop dramatically. As there are no new "challenges", people with a question can quickly find the answer and leave again.

Yes, at this point I would still prefer more re-organizational work rather than getting back to those mostly repetitive Sims 4 questions (I guess we can leave a part of that work to the people who are interested in becoming Helpers/Moderators). Nothing has been decided yet however in the case of Sim Architect, and in my understanding the above request was mainly centered on moderator powers in a limited number of sections.

In my view, these mostly repetive questions, is caused by the fact that G4TW requires everybody to start his/her own question over and over again about the same error/problem.
This results in hundreds of topics about f.e. Origin is not running or simular questions and does not contribute to finding correct answers easily.
Again, in my view, topics are being closed too soon.

What you have in mind is (nowadays) mostly called a blog or informational website; the intention of which is to post various types of content/information, without the level of user interaction like on a real Forum. Understandable in your case, since due to your age and/or other reasons you may not be able or willing to operate with the levels of repetitive questions, like on "real" Forums.

Nonetheless, I don't think we should turn G4TW into a museum just yet. We will keep up with writing good guides; and judging by the number of views under each tutorial a lot of people are reading those too. If someone happens to now have read the guides, then by all means they can and should still open their own thread.

Content is content, regardless of how one goes about organizing a Forum. The Sims-series is really dead, and at some point you will come to that conclusion as well.

I'm conceding, that the entire issue is more complex than we all are thinking right now. Back in the days of the old Admin, The Sims 3 was very popular. There were many posts, and also outside (!!) of the usual troubleshooting discussions. However, there was not much other content than The Sims 3. Granted, the old Admin was quite often on his own here. A lot of team members were appointed and they were good-willed, but in my opinion most of them either lacked the time/energy or imagination to really make more out of their Forum activity. I'm not mentioning specific names here, but in essence I am referring to the people who were Helpers or Moderators, and left very shortly after their appointments. In the end, nobody likes responding to the same things for an extended period of time. But then you have to make an effort and be creative; maybe start some kind of debate-thread or Forum contest or something like that.

I think @Sim Architect does bring a level of creativity, that could help us here. What I also want to say is, for any future G4TW team members we might want to look for things that go beyond simply responding to posts on the public Forums.
