Certain CC not showing up.

I've been downloading a lot of CC from TSR. When I look in the comments of certain CC, it seems to work on everyone else, but in my game, it just doesn't show up in CAS. Altough it does show up in de mods list in the game. A few of the CC does show up. I was wondering why, is it because I installed my game from G4TW and not from origin that certain CC just won't work, or does it have to do with game version/patches,...?

I have installed the base game and all the expansions.

Just to give an example, none of the CC from this artist shows up in my CAS --> thesimsresource.com/artists/MJ95

I think it’s because of the patches WhatDidUJustCallMe?

.. the last patch was on 12th of September if I’m correct. So the CCs that came out after that most likely won’t show up. Check the dates of these CCs ... if an older CC isn’t showing up too, then I don’t know what could be the issue

@Noemi91 where can i find that patch? because i guess the sims 4 install guide was last updated in august. And I have cc that was made in like november 2016 and some from august 2017, non of them show up. While it does on other simmers

Hi @xOihane ,

Like @Noemi19 mentioned, Do take note that the official patch date that for 1.34 is on the 12th September. As such, it's probably 'safer' to stay away from creations dated after that. I have MJ95 creations and they do show up.

For example: This latest creation is published on the 4 October. Now, CCs created after the patch date may or may not work, depending on whether if was based on certain meshes or item from the game.

I just tested the that creation and it did appear in-game.

Hi there, I just want to mention, I have basically all the shoes from MJ95 and they all show up beautifully. I have never had a problem with any of those items. Even when my game was at a lower patch. So there is probably something different going on here.

Maybe these CCs aren't in the folder they should be... I mean if you create other folders in Mods (for example Hairs) it's okay, but if you create another folder in it (for e. Hairs, then Males) it won't recognize your CC in that Males folder.
And like others mentioned, I have CC from MJ95 and they work perfectly.

@Noemi19 I don't understand why it isn't working because i don't have subfolders in Mods. I have a folder 'hair' in mods (all the hair for men and women are in there), and a folder 'clothes' in mods. I have all shoes and all clothes in that 'clothes' folder. And many things from that 'clothes' folder do show up, and then certain things don't.. There are many things that other simmers have, that won't show up in my game for some reason. It's so annoyinh

If you are able to extract the items that allegedly don't show up for you, feel free to upload them to a filehosting service (MEGA, MediaFire, GoogleDrive, etc.) and post the link here, so that other users can test the stuff themselves.

Plus, if I may be allowed to say, CC items for The Sims 4 are mostly overrated anyhow.

I have installed all the packs and I've been playing them a while, now i just installed the cats and dogs. But when i go to create a sim, there is no option to make a pet?

and when i put a downloaded dog in my tray folder, when i start my game and i open CAS. there are no buttons, just blue background and a sim. When I go to gallery, the dog in in my gallery but when i click on it, it says "household not found" or something

Next to the sim there is a plus sign. Click on that and you will have a pop up which also includes a paw print. click on that and you can create your pet. Smile
