Your thoughts?

My sims were expecting their first child, a little girl, so I wanted to get a jump on the nursery/toddler room. The problem is, I've never been quite good with decorating and making everything match. I'm more of a, throw it all together and make it looking like it came from the flea market, type person but I wanna learn to do better. This is where you come in. There are many, many talented sim-architects around, and I'd like a little feedback on my decorating skill. What areas can I improve on? Why the colors don't match? These type questions are great if y'all can answer, but just saying if it looks good or not works too
