Hey everyone, Once again i have installed the sims 4 from GTW followed the installation guide right up until the newest patch 1-41-42-1020, Ok so lets start with what i have done and my system.
So i have installed the Sims 4 all the way to the latest patch
Also put the sims 4 folder in Programs x86 along with Creating the Game_  after the toddler update
My system is obviously a 64 bit system running on windows 10
i recently updated my nividia graphics card
also disabled my anti-virus for the time being (Which is norton 380) yes i know don't shoot me  IAmSoHappyEmergahwd
i did find that while the sims 4 folder was in program files it was showing as read only is that normal?, i have loaded it both with and without read only turned on and finally we get to my issues.

So i load the game no crashes no errors also no Mods or CC at the moment i get to the home screen and find that it's stuck on the Vampire background running version 1.29.69.1020 which is the toddlers and vampires version if im not mistaken, the second issue i have is that even though i have the GP,SP's installed they appear greyed out and the first pet stuff icon looks like a Llama? and to make matters worse i have had the world selection vanish over the last two days and then going on into the city living world there are these grey llama icons floating around the world  IAmSoHappyEmergahwd IAmSoHappyEmergahwd.

Sorry for the long post but it's driving me nuts the game was working fun until this new patch, it ran fine on vampires other than city living didn't seem to work  anyway if anyone out there knows what's causing my issue please offer me some insight
Thanks.

In Program Files\The Sims 4 DELETE folders Game and Game_
Replace with folder Game from your latest update (1.41.42.1020)
Now run your The Sims 4

It looks like your shortcut lead to your Game_ folder which explains why it did not work correctly.

Go to your install folder (probably something like Program Files\The Sims 4)
Open the folder Game -> Bin
In folder Bin click on TS4_x64.exe

(make shortcut on your desktop from this file Ts4_x64.exe)

Re-install the packs showing Download in progress in the correct order.
Then apply the 1.41.42.1020 update again
