Weird Error Unable to start?

Has anyone gotten this error / does anyone have a fix?

It looks like one of the updates that you installed did not take...what was the latest install that you did?

The issue is caused by you probably having a cracked Sims 4 installed, alongside an Origin or ZLOrigin-version, on the same computer. Go under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and delete the GameVersion.txt. Then try the game again.
If my initial suspicion was correct, see the guide here on what to do, if you have The Sims 4 installations from multiple sources installed on the same computer, and how to avoid errors like these in the future:
