Crashes Seconds After Clicking Executable Empty Crashes Seconds After Clicking Executable

Post by Guest Wed 25 Jul 2018, 01:36

I have gone through the thread for crash fixes and followed all instructions, and have had no change. Just establishing that off the bat.

I recently downloaded the sims 4 and all expansions from this site. I did it before on a computer before, prior to the Cats and Dogs expansion. I followed all instructions on the thread with the install tutorial to the letter.

When I start the executable for the sims 4 in Game/bin, the screen goes black and my cursor becomes a loading circle, but seconds later I'm booted back to desktop. My Sims 4 files are in C:/Programs Files, as I have a 64 bit OS. Attempting to run both the 32 bit and 64 bit executable results in the same.

Specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce FTX 960
Ram: 16 GB (2 x Cool DDR3 @ 665MHz (Corsair Vengeance)
Storage: 500 GB Seagate SATA HDD (OS Installed) + 1 TB Toshiba SATA HDD
OS: Windows 10 Pro

It can't be a specs issue though. I run games like Nier Automata and Warframe on max settings all the time, and this doesn't even start.

Would appreciate some help. Thanks.

Delete "Game" folder from your Sims 4 installation directory and download fresh one from here.

If that doesn't help try this and post the result here.

report:

This is what I got from the validator. The Game file didn't work.

I can see there's issues but idk if there's something specific I should reinstall to get all this?

Seems like you've installed it in wrong order. And you're missing DLCs.

From "The Sims 4 - Get Together.rar" extract EP02, GP02, SP01, SP02, SP03 and SP04 dirs to your game installation folder.

Apply Seasons and then the newest update (1.44.88.1020) again.

And run validator again to see if it's all good by now.
