Sims 3 faster since Master Suite Stuff installed?
If this is in the wrong place, sorry.
Since i installed Pets, the game ran really slow, even after a graphics card upgrade, the town took 10-20 minutes to load and the game started freezing after playing for more than an hour each time, even before pets it was took awhile to load towns and i had some lag.
Ever since the new stuff pack was installed, the town loaded within seconds and the gameplay freezing is gone.
I dont know if i should be happy or scared that it's done something to the game, or even my pc.
any ideas?.

Hello,
I'd be happy if I were in your place but nothing has changed on my end, unfortunately.
Don't be scared though, this seems like a good thing.

Even the townBridgeport is working properly, and we all know how glitchly and broken that town is.
I'm curious now, too curious.

Hello,
I can imagine you are.
I've never played Bridgeport myself because it was way too buggy. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this welcome side effect.

Bridgeport is usually very buggy, i never used it again until now to test this. nothings happened yet.
Hmm i wonder, maybe my games was installed incorrectly/misplaced files and installing a new pack just fixed it or something.

Or maybe you're just lucky, my game has always loaded slowly, probably due to my system specs and each expansion slows it down just a little bit.

I mostly always play Bridgeport, because I love the apartment idea. My computer specs far surpass the recommend requirements. Bridgeport used to take about 3 minutes to load but it now (with Master Suite installed) takes about 1 minute. I've also checked with the other places and I have definitely noticed shorter loading times!

Perhaps EA is finally cleaning up their act, who knows.
I also like the Bridgeport concept, but on my low end pc and with the bad routing issues, it was nothing but trouble. I also thought it was pretty disappointing that the apartments don't have actual neighbours.

Re: Sims 3 faster since Master Suite Stuff installed?
I've noticed this as well. My PC meets and exceeds the system requirements and I noticed that after installing Pets, the game was almost not worth playing because of the huge lag I faced and slow loading times. I do have a lot of CC, so I thought it was that. I did the whole SimPE thing in terms of combining packages to reduce file lag. It actually had no effect at all. It was all still too slow to enjoy. Then I buy and install Master Suite Stuff, and WHAM, the game loads in 1 minute instead of 10, and everything just plays smoother.
As to what it could be, I know that patch 1.29 (which Master Suite comes with), fixed several issues that graphics cards were having with rendering the fur on animals as well as a few other changes, so maybe it changed the way the game handles certain graphics cards? I know I have an ATI card, and the fur on the dogs and cats looked blocky, and now after the patch you can actually see that it's fur. Either way, I'm not complaining

Yay im not the only one
@ TheSpeaker, you had the No Fur/Fluff glitch, ATI cards were common to have the error, glad to hear your card was fixed with the patch, there's some still out there who still have the error even with high end graphics cards.
Just to say, i had patch 1.29 installed and worked with the temp fix, but i didn't notice any difference. either i installed it wrong or MS suite came with a 1.29a patch still in the works crap, it's happened before with the fallout games, and almost broke one DLC if i remember.

bridgeport is slightly laggy on my part. Though works perfectly fine without any bug.

Re: Sims 3 faster since Master Suite Stuff installed?
I also had this!
But not with master suite stuff though.
And the funny thing is that the specs raised since Pets.
But it's weird, I ran the game on medium options, And it was laggy as hell.
Now I run it with high options and it isn't laggy at all!
Well, I think it's just an optical illusion!
Or a patch.

Hi there,
Side-note: The Sims 3 was patched to v1.29 before the release of Master Suite Stuff. Therefore, The Sims 3 will not be patched during the installation of Master Suite Stuff.

@ Admin, How the hell can we know what EA put on the disc?
just kidding.
Has anyone else also noticed that the pets animation seems just a tiny bit better aswell? And i dont mean how they look, i mean how they move and dont poke they heads through the ground any more, not on mine anyway.

AND the Limit ofSims per lot on low end comps KILLS the whole theme of bridgeport. My cop is old a te hills so only service sims (mixologists and bouncers, + 1 unrelated sim) actually show up to the HOTSPOT bar.
I cried.
