Re-seed update.

Small addition to the Re-Seed Request Rules on 02-09-2019.

If, for whatever reason*, we decide to e-mail you a direct download link for a requested item, the original download link will now "expire" after 24 hours of us sending you the e-mail. So yes, you will have to download the item rather quickly. In your own interest, be alert and stay in touch please.

If the deadline passes and you - for whatever reason - did not manage to download the item, you may request another extension. Just bump the Re-Seed request topic you already opened, or reply to the original e-mail that we sent you. Note that for security reasons we may delay a re-sending of direct downloads for a little bit, in case you "bump" your request.

Please actually make an effort and try messaging us back about your progress, even if it's just with a brief "got the item now, thx". Otherwise we'll have to assume that you have successfully downloaded the item - and the link will expire.

This is an additional safety measure to further reduce chances of takedowns and to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to benefit from these downloads, for as long as possible. We may or may not tweak the duration until downloads expire, depending on how things go.

Effective immediately all direct download links shared thus far as part of the "Re-Seed Requests" (a.k.a. those items that I send users through e-mail), are disabled. New download links will be re-activated depending on the individual user's wish, but still only at our own discretion. 



P.S. in spite of this 'feature' of providing direct download links for items that don't have many seeds (and which we may or may not revoke later down the road depending on how things go), we would still like to ask you to support us the classic way: namely by helping us seed those downloads, if at all possible or feasible for you.













* such reasons typically include ISP limitations, inability or impossibility to configure open ports on the router/modem, the filesize of the requested item (e.g. it's a lot easier for us to send you a direct download for The Saboteur, which is 6GB in size, rather than initiate a re-seed on it), and probably a few things more :p[/not]
